In 2004, Olly (NZ) and Ting (Taiwan), spent four months cycling across Asia, to fight the growth of car culture in the region. They rode approximately 6000km through Thailand, Laos, Yunnan, Sichuan and Xinjiang and Vietnam, and handed out over 1200 stickers.

On a per capita basis Asia has very few cars, however the total number of vehicles, and their consequences are growing at a frightening rate. China's car population is predicted to grow from 10 million to 130 million by 2020 and road deaths have already risen to over 300 per day. By most indications Asia is heading towards the same transportation disaster as the western world.
